Project Manager – New Pool Construction

Job Description:

Project Managers oversee the construction of pools from start to finish ensuring a smooth process for customers, personnel, and sub-contractors. Project Managers must be able to plan appropriately, communicate effectively, and delegate efficiently to meet timelines and budgets for each project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Coordination:

  • Plan and keep track of project timelines, budgets, and resources.

  • Work with clients, designers, contractors, and subcontractors to get things done right.

  • Oversee all aspects of pool construction—digging, plumbing, concrete installation, electrical work, and finishing.

Manage Budgets & Resources:

  • Track project costs and make sure everything stays within budget.

  • Order materials and pool equipment, ensuring they arrive on time.

  • Make sure the right people and equipment are available when needed.

Lead a Team:

  • Supervise and guide a team on each project, making sure the work is high quality and on schedule.

  • Help solve any issues or delays to keep things moving forward.

Client Communication:

  • Keep clients updated on how the project is going and make sure their expectations are met.

  • Be the point of contact for any questions or concerns.

  • Build good relationships with clients, keeping them satisfied and informed.

Reporting:

  • Keep track of project progress and make sure all the necessary documentation is in order.

  • Handle inspections and approvals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED; required

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar field; preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years in construction field; required

Skills:

  • Knowledge of new pool construction (digging, plumbing, electrical, and finishing).

  • Expert use of project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, JobTread)

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily outside in the elements

  • Project Managers must be prepared to work in multiple weather conditions, including extreme heat, freezing temperatures, etc.

Pay: Salary

Position Type:

  • Full-time: Monday – Friday

  • Occasional weekends, as needed, based on the project timeline
